Scholarship Program
The Deadline for the 2010 Scholarship has passed
GCU National Scholarship Requirements for 2011
Application request will appear in August, October and December 2010 Magazines.
Request for application due by 12/31/2010
Person requesting application must be the GCU member
- Member for 5 years
- Permanent Life Insurance Certificate (not a term certificate)
- Annuity with $2,000 balance
- Must have completed 1 semester of College (if they just started college in the Fall 2010– by February 2011 they will have completed their first semester and will be eligible)
- Must be full time student.
- Must hold a 2.75 average
All Information is due at the Home Office by February 15, 2011:
- Application
- Essay
- Letter of recommendation – Parish Priest or College Chaplain
- Grade Transcript – Fall 2010
- Wallet color photo – actual photo (not copy)
All the above can be e-mailed to Home Office
National Scholarship = $1,000.00
Best Essay = additional $500.00
4.0 Average = additional $500.00
Possible to receive a total of $2,000.00
Academic Performance Requirements:
- Must have previously received the National Scholarship
- Must be full time student.
- Must maintain 3.4 Grade Average as of Fall 2010
- Must have a permanent life certificate or annuity with a $2,000.00 balance
- Application request deadline is 12/31/10
- A maximum total of four (4) academic performance scholarships are permitted in addition to the national award (first year).
