Lodge 625 Donation to Birthright
During the month of December 2011, members of Lodge 625 at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Conemaugh, PA collected baby gifts and items for Birthright of Johnstown, PA. The lodge was also provided a grant of $200 from the GCU Fraternal Grants fund to purchase additional items for the babies at Birthright. Incoming President Paul Yackulich, Jr, his wife, Wanda and Secretary-Treasurer Georgia Lehman delivered the carload of items to Mary Kay Clark, Executive Director of Birthright of Johnstown. More than 100 baby items and gifts were presented to Birthright.
Planned Lodge Activities for 2012
January-Throughout the month the lodge will be collecting food items for St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantries at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Conemaugh, PA.
February 12-1st Quarter Meeting (election of officers/delegates) following 9 am Divine Liturgy, approximately at 10:15 am at the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Conemaugh, PA in the church social hall.
March 10 (tentative)-9 Pin No-Tap Bowling Tournament at Richland Lanes, Johnstown, PA.
April (tentative)-Fund raiser for the Carmelite sisters, Loretto, PA.
May 6-2nd Quarter Meeting following 9 am Divine Liturgy, approximately at 10:15 am at the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Conemaugh, PA in the church social hall.
May 13-Mother’s Day Social, coffee and donut social, following 9 am Divine Liturgy, approximately at 10:15 am at Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Conemaugh, PA in the church social hall.
June 2-Helping Hands Day, church cemetery project.
June 17-Father’s Day Social, coffee and donut social, following 9 am Divine Liturgy, approximately at 10:15 am at the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, Conemaugh, PA in the church social hall.
June 25-28-GCU National Convention.
July 26-Trip to Kenneywood.
August 11 (tentative)-Kid’s Day, distribution of school supplies membership drive.
