Pie Sale Benefits Orphanage
Thanksgiving Pie Sale Benefits Boys Orphanage-Lodge 340 was busy taking pie orders for the month of November in preparation for their Thanksgiving Pie Sale. A local bakery supplied the lodge with pumpkin, coconut custard, apple, and apple crumb pies. The pies were picked up the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and distributed to customers in the St. Thomas the Apostle Church hall. The proceeds, along with matching fund money were donated to the St. Peters Orphanage, in Denville, NJ. The orphanage is a adolescent treatment facility for boys, whose parents, are unable to care for them. The facility is funded by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services, through private support and public donations. We hope that our donation was helpful in completing the boys Christmas wish list.
