Guys and Dolls Bowling Tournament
On Sunday afternoon, April 6, 2008 , District 1 held its annual Guys and Dolls bowling tournament at Playmor Lanes in West Mifflin . Forty-five people from District 1, as well as other Districts, participated in this event. Due to more woman participants than men, some women bowled as the male part of the pair.
Following four games of bowling, a buffet dinner and awards presentation was held at the Elks Club that is adjacent to the bowling alleys. After dinner, John Niskach, Officer of the GCU Mixed Bowling League, announced the winners:
1 st: Laura Seech/Don Lagana 1127, 2 nd: Mima Lagana/Mike Karaffa 1074, 3 rd: Melanie Niskach/Jim Asmonga 1046, 4 th: Barb Schuster/Andy Keebler 1044, 5 th: Monica Jendrzejewski/Chuck Robinson 1042, 6 th: Lauren Zishinklos/Rege Dinger 1037, 7 th: Judy Gula/Martha Seech 1031, 8 th: Mary Ann Karaman/Mark Niskach 1030, 9 th: Kathy Pugh/Tom Stagan 1025, 10 th: (tie) Dorothy Czudek/Mike Schuler 1016 & Dolores Bihary/Marlene Morvay 1016, 12 th: Sarah Lebanik/Jimmy Asmonga 1012.
One more award was given to the pair who bowled a 300 game: Barb Schuster and Andy Keebler.
District 1 would like to thank Lodge 52 for donating the cake for dessert, and everyone who donated the door prizes.
