Adult/Junior No-Tap Tournament
On Sunday, April 20, 2008 , District 1 held its annual adult/junior no-tap bowling tournament at Club Lanes in Homestead , PA. Twenty-six bowlers participated in this event. At the beginning of the even, Mike Cherpak set the bar high by bowling a 300 for his first game. During the games, pizza and pop were served. After a fun afternoon, the winners were determined. Trophies were awarded to the first place boy and girl winners: Girl winner: Courtney McClymonds and Pat Cherpak, Boy winner: Mike Cherpak and Mark Cherpak.
Junior Bowling League
The 2007-2008 junior bowling league season is over. The teams bowled bi-weekly on Sundays at Club Lanes in Homestead , PA. On April 13 (the last week of bowling), a pizza party was held at the lanes. As an end-of-year celebration, the league also attended a Pirate game.
